There was something that went straight to my heart, at least it exceeded the average where my feelings are concerned. The name of the schlager was “Domino.”-- a Finnish manual work man, Aimo, describes the moment he first heard tune "Domino". [source]
I think we can all relate to this sentiment, at least to some extent.
Aimo goes on to say that,
I knew it immediately; it would be the inner, everyday soundscape of this boy for a long time. This I agree with less. Perhaps it's a generational difference -- Aimo's revelation taking place in 1952 -- rather than anything else. These days, music, or sounds for that matter, are infinitely more accessible to individuals than in 1952. These musical revelations -- where everything stops and it feels as if there is nothing in the world more important than giving this song every single ounce of your attention to its end -- I find occur rather often in my life.
The inner, everyday soundscape to my life currently sounds a bit like this:
Summertime is almost here! I can feel (and hear) it!
